Job Overview
We’re posting a new System Director role, and it’s a big one. This leader will have end-to-end accountability for a wide portfolio that shapes how enterprise technology is designed, operated, supported, and continuously improved. Through Directors, Senior Managers, and Managers, the role will oversee Enterprise Architecture, enterprise monitoring, business analysis, the IT Service Desk and ITSM functions, quality assurance and delivery excellence, and L2 support across both applications and infrastructure.

We have a strong OKR roadmap for 2026 and beyond, and we’re looking for a leader who can turn these objectives into execution, elevate service experience, and drive consistency, quality, and operational maturity at scale.
The System Director will report to the VP of Digital Transformation, Operations & Planning and work closely with leaders across the organization to deliver measurable impact.
This position requires a unique blend of business acumen and technological expertise, aimed at ensuring our IT initiatives align seamlessly with the broader organizational goals. Your responsibilities will encompass overseeing IT operational processes, and service delivery, all while promoting an environment of innovation and efficiency. In this role, you will direct the execution of IT engagements that support the delivery of high-quality healthcare services. You will be instrumental in transforming our IT operations to enhance system performance, improve service outcomes, and drive cost-effectiveness.
Responsibilities
+ Collaborate with Fairview leaders to create and implement a comprehensive digital and IT business models and roadmap aligned with our system vision and business goals.
+ Lead new iniatives under Technology transformation that innovate business and IT operating models, streamline IT operations, and enable scalability across Fairview.
+ Develop and implement a robust architecture plans to scale, secure our IT systems and data.
+ Provide thought leadership for the digital future of the enterprise.
+ Drive iniatives around on emerging technologies and trends.
+ Build and maintain external relationships with customers, vendors, startups, analysts, and academia to leverage the broader technology ecosystem.
+ Partner with Learning & Development to enhance Technology and Digitial capabilities necessary for transformation throughout the enterprise.
+ Lead cross-functional teams to identify digital opportunities, implement solutions, and drive change across people, processes, and technology.
+ Drive the adoption of digital tools, technologies, and processes to enhance customer and employee experiences, and improve product, system, service, and solution value.
+ Establish metrics and KPIs to measure the maturity and value of technology initiatives and drive continuous improvement.
+ Champion the process to identify, trial, evaluate, and scale new digital technologies while ensuring relevance to the business.
+ Identify and equip the team with hardware that enables effective and efficient work and collaboration.
Required Qualifications
+ Bachelor of Science in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field
+ 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in senior IT and IT Business Operations roles in mid-sized to large organizations.
+ Proven track record of leading successful, large-scale technology, and business transformation initiatives in complex organizations.
+ Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, networking, architecture, and core applications such as ServiceNow ERP, CRM, and HRIS.
+ Strong understanding of business processes and their relationship to customer journeys and touchpoints.
+ Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve significant goals.
+ Experience with Lean/Agile ways of working at all levels, including organizational agility and agile delivery.
+ Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities, with the capacity to influence at all levels of the organization.
+ Strategic thinker with a bias for action, speed and a passion for driving change.
Preferred Qualifications
+ Masters in Business Admin or advanced degree in IT or Digital Technologies.
+ Experience with both product and service-based businesses.
+ Experience working in healthcare or related sectors
+ Experience working with customers on solutions
+ Fosters a culture of improvement, efficiency and innovative thinking.
+ Performs other duties as assigned

Compensation Disclaimer
The posted pay range is for a 40-hour workweek (1.0 FTE). The actual rate of pay offered within this range may depend on several factors, such as FTE, skills, knowledge, relevant education, experience, and market conditions. Additionally, our organization values pay equity and considers the internal equity of our team when making any offer. Hiring at the maximum of the range is not typical. If your role is eligible for a sign-on bonus, the bonus program that is approved and in place at the time of offer, is what will be honored.
