Per Diem/Variable Shift

The Medical Technologist/Clinical Laboratory Scientist Journeyman is responsible for the accurate and timely reporting of high complexity laboratory test results with minimal supervision. MT/CLS JRN personnel are capable of performing pre-analytical, analytical and post-analytical duties including specimen evaluation, data analysis, and instrument maintenance and problem resolution. They often work with acute-care and outpatient caregivers, along with other Laboratory Services staff in performing their duties.

Required Qualifications:

+ Required Bachelor's Degree Medical Laboratory Science from a NAACLS accredited MLS program or

+ Bachelor's Degree in Chemical, Physical, Biological, or Clinical Laboratory Sciences

+ Upon hire: National Medical Laboratory Scientist - American Society for Clinical Pathology or

+ Upon hire: National Clinical Laboratory Scientist - American Society for Clinical Pathology or

+ Upon hire: National Medical Technologist - American Society for Clinical Pathology or

+ Upon hire: National Medical Technologist - American Medical Technologists or

+ Upon hire: National Medical Laboratory Scientist - American Medical Technologist

+ 1 year experience as a Medical Laboratory Scientist in a department in the laboratory or exceeds principal duties and functions in the MLS I job description.

Preferred Qualifications:

+ 3 years Clinical laboratory experience in a moderate and high complexity laboratory.

Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
