    Waste Connections (Clackamas, OR)


    **Pioneer Recycling Services** , a Waste Connections company, is searching for our next All-Star **Equipment Operator** to join us at our transfer station in **Clackamas, OR** (16810 SE 120th Ave, Clackamas, OR 97015).

     

    Starting rate of pay is **$31.00/hour**

     

    Schedule is **Monday – Friday** , with occasional Saturday work as needed.

     

    Shift is **4:00 AM –12:30 PM**

     

    Safety Sensitive: **Yes**

     

    Qualified candidates must have **Front End Loader & Forklift** experience.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    + **Equipment Operators** are responsible for running the loader that supports our MRF operations.

    + **REQUIRES** ability to efficiently & safely operate **Front End Loader** & **Forklift.** Compactor experience _preferred._

    + Performs routine inspection and maintenance on vehicles such as checking oil, water, and tires.

    + Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies.

    + Promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.

    + Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

    WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:

    + Extensive physical activity. Requires strenuous physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects over 50 pounds.

    + Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions.

    + Ability to operate heavy equipment is required.

    + Knowledge of basic computer skills.

    + Knowledge of light and heavy equipment operation and maintenance.

    + Knowledge of basic vehicle inspection and maintenance including tire pressure, checking oil and water levels.

    + Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures.

    MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

    + High school diploma or equivalent.

    + **Minimum 500-hours** of **Heavy Equipment Operating** experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

    + Heavy Equipment Operating certification from an accredited trade school **_preferred_** .

    + Basic knowledge of computer skills.

    + Pre-employment requirements for this safety sensitive position include **drug panel screening &** **criminal background check.**
