Job Description
We’re seeking an experienced Epic ASAP Analyst to support Emergency Department (ED) workflows across build, optimization, testing, and production support. The ideal candidate is Epic ASAP certified, has 5+ years of hands‑on Epic experience, holds a Bachelor’s degree, and has broad exposure to Epic security (roles, security classes, profiles, user templates/provisioning) across clinical and ancillary modules.
Key Responsibilities
Design, build, and configuration (ASAP): ED Tracking Board, triage workflows (ESI), patient arrival/flow, orders and order sets, discharge instructions, fast track, split‑flow, and throughput metrics.
Workflow & requirements: Partner with ED clinical leadership to translate requirements into robust build; document decision logs and maintain build standards/foundations.
Testing & validation: Author test scripts; execute unit, integrated, and UAT cycles; coordinate cutover plans; manage defects and remediation.
Go‑live & stabilization: Provide ATE support, round with end users, resolve tickets, and drive post‑go‑live optimization and adoption.
Integration touchpoints: Collaborate with Cadence/ADT, Orders, Inpatient, Radiant/Imaging, Willow/Pharmacy, Beaker/Lab, and ancillary teams to ensure end‑to‑end flow.
Reporting & analytics: Partner with reporting teams (Radar/Reporting Workbench/Clarity/SlicerDicer) to surface ED operational metrics and quality KPIs.
Change management: Maintain build promotion processes (DEV→TEST→PROD), version NVT completion, release notes, and upgrade readiness.

Skills and Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree (Information Systems, Health Informatics, Clinical/Healthcare, or related field).
Certification: Current Epic ASAP certification (NVT current for the active Epic version).
Experience: 5+ years in Epic application analysis/build with a focus on ED workflows; track record of at least one full implementation and one upgrade/optimization cycle.
Epic security exposure: Practical experience with:
Epic Roles & Menus/Profiles design and maintenance
Security Classes (activity/function access)
User Templates & provisioning workflows (EMP)
Break‑glass, sensitive chart access, and audit trails
Mobile modalities (Haiku/Canto/Rover) and external access (EpicCare Link/MyChart) from a security/access standpoint
Technical & tools: Proficiency with Hyperspace build tools, Registry/Radar/Reporting Workbench basics; familiarity with ticketing (e.g., ServiceNow), test management, and release management.
Soft skills: Strong stakeholder communication, clinical empathy, documentation discipline, and the ability to operate in fast‑paced ED environments.
