Job Description

Insight Global is seeking two Technical Solution Analysts to join a major Student Information System (SIS) modernization initiative for our higher education client. This role is a blend of technical analysis, solution planning, and architectural guidance to help replace a 40-year-old legacy system with a modern SaaS platform (think Workday Student or Ellucian Banner). These Analysts will be tasked with being a part of interviews/meetings with stakeholders across IT, business units, and student services to gather detailed information about current process and system functionality. From there, you’ll perform gap analysis, helping to identify where the current system falls short and proposing potential solutions for the future state. You’ll also design workflows, mapping both current and future processes to highlight opportunities for automation and improvements to student experience or backend efficiency. Once insights are gathered, you’ll package them into executive-ready reports and presentations, making complex technical and business information consumable for leadership. Throughout the process, you’ll collaborate with technical leads and SMEs, refine requirements, and help shape the architectural recommendations that will guide the university’s modernization strategy.

Skills and Requirements

• Strong technical foundation:

• API Management (RESTful & SOAP)

• Middleware tools (API Gateway like Apigee, Managed File Transfer)

• Cloud infrastructure concepts (asynchronous design patterns, SaaS architecture)

• Experience working on some sort of system integration or modernization/transformation project

• Requirements gathering & documentation

• Gap analysis and workflow design (current vs. future state)

• Excellent communication for executive-level reporting

• Ability to recommend future-state architecture and integration strategies Data migration & management (ETL tools like Informatica, SQL)

Data governance (FERPA, CUI compliance)

Higher Education experience (student systems)
