Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Sourcing Manager to step in for a maternity leave for one of our customers in the Life Sciences industry. In this role, you will focus primarily on sourcing opportunities within the Clinical Operations and R&D category, while occasionally supporting sourcing events in other areas of indirect procurement. You will lead end-to-end sourcing activities, including RFPs, vendor selection, contract negotiations, and supplier onboarding. A key part of the role involves tracking and analyzing spend to identify cost optimization initiatives and maximize supplier value. You will partner cross-functionally to understand business requirements and contribute to the development and execution of sourcing strategies. Additionally, you will drive increased value through cost and cash flow improvements, enhance supplier performance, and collaborate with stakeholders to manage vendor performance, SLAs, and KPIs, ensuring alignment with business needs and informing future negotiations.

Skills and Requirements

- Minimum of 7 years of progressive procurement experience, including strategic sourcing, cost modeling and category management.

- Very inquisitive, strong communicator, demonstrated ability to pick up things and learn quickly

- Strong track record of cross-functional collaboration with proven ability to incorporate stakeholder feedback and influence outcomes.

- Strong business/financial acumen, with proven negotiation skills. - Experience in pharma/biotech/life sciences and working knowledge of drug development processes - HIGHLY preferred

- Significant experience in indirect/services procurement - HIGHLY preferred

- Experience in global sourcing of clinical trials

- Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) or Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM)
