    Job Description

    Insight Global is seeking a Remote Senior SQL DBA to join the IT Operations team. This role is ideal for a proactive and detail-oriented professional with deep expertise in SQL Server, high availability solutions, and cloud modernization. You will be responsible for managing mission-critical databases, ensuring performance, security, and availability, and collaborating across teams to support both project and production environments. This role is critical to the enterprise migration initiative, moving workloads from legacy mainframe and on-prem environments to Azure Cloud.

    Skills and Requirements

     

    - 5+ years of experience as a production SQL Database Administrator (DBA).

     

    - Experience with T-SQL Programming - must be able to write complex queries, troubleshoot, performance tuning and optimize.

     

    - Experience with demonstrating T-SQL skills live, including writing queries and DMVs in front of stakeholders.

     

    - Experience with PowerShell - backups, restores, index maintenance, automate database deployments, generate reports and failed jobs.

     

    - Experience with Always on Availability Groups, clustering, failovers, and transactional replication.

     

    - Experience working in an Azure environment, including managing SQL databases in Azure and leveraging cloud-native features.

     

    - Must be able to work a PST working schedule, participate in on-call rotations, after hours releases and triage calls.
