    Lead Certified Medical Assistant

     

    Department:Sleep Medicine

     

    Schedule:Full Time - 40 Hours - Day Shift, Monday - Friday 6AM-4:30PM

    Job Summary

    The Lead Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) provides leadership and hands-on clinical support within the physician practice. This role is responsible for leading assigned staff, coordinating daily clinical operations, and serving as a technical and functional resource while performing medical assistant duties alongside the team. The Lead CMA supports efficient workflows, ensures compliance with policies and procedures, and contributes to staff development and training.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Lead and support assigned staff in performing clinical and operational activities in support of physician practice operations

    + Coordinate shift operations, including activities, resources, and staffing assignments

    + Serve as a technical and functional resource while performing Medical Assistant duties alongside staff

    + Assign, monitor, and review work to ensure timely and accurate completion

    + Monitor and report compliance with established policies, procedures, and clinical standards

    + Oversee orientation and training of new and existing associates

    + Provide input into performance reviews and evaluations of assigned staff, as appropriate

    + Inventory clinical supplies and place orders to maintain appropriate stock levels

    + Receive, organize, and manage medication samples in accordance with policy

    Preferred Qualifications

    + Prior leadership or lead experience in a physician practice or ambulatory setting

    + Strong organizational, communication, and team leadership skills
