Why This Role Matters
As the Lead Maintenance Electrician, you will be an essential contributor to the success of the HVAC Commercial Engineering team. Your expertise will ensure that electrical equipment and lab systems operate reliably and safely — directly supporting engineering projects that deliver innovative products used across commercial, industrial, and governmental sectors.
What You’ll Do – Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
+ Maintain and upgrade electrical equipment and wiring to support the LCML test lab.
+ Troubleshoot electrical components, controls, and power systems with skill and precision.
+ Coordinate maintenance and repairs with lab technicians, engineers, and management to minimize testing downtime.
+ Modify equipment as needed for unique test applications and system upgrades.
+ Perform moderate to complex electrical troubleshooting and problem solving.
+ Install essential lab and testing equipment, including systems that support psychrometric testing and capital upgrades.
+ Lead electrical maintenance efforts and provide direction to support staff on technical tasks.
Required Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you should have:
+ **AA/AS degree, Technical/Business School Certificate or Diploma, Skilled Trades Apprenticeship, or equivalent post–high school training** (or equivalent work experience).
+ **Minimum of 10 years of HVAC or electrical maintenance experience** .
+ **OSHA 10-Hour Construction EH&S Certification** .
+ Strong ability to lead electrical maintenance efforts independently.
+ Knowledge of electrical power distribution, low voltage control systems, and ability to read and interpret schematics and engineering drawings.
+ Strong communication skills and strict adherence to EH&S procedures.
+ Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
+ Experience safely using power tools and industrial equipment (industrial trucks, scissor/aerial lifts, crane & rigging).
Preferred Qualifications
+ Proven experience coaching and mentoring other maintenance mechanics on electrical issues.
+ Demonstrated ability to operate independently with minimal supervision.
+ Solid working knowledge of EH&S regulations and compliance.

**Pay Details:** $36.00 per hour
