Dir FI Planning & Analytics FP&A Consumer Health
The Director, Financial Planning & Analytics (FP&A) leads enterprise financial planning (short and long term), forecasting, and management reporting for the US Consumer Health business to deliver accurate projections for senior leadership. This role partners with senior management to drive business performance, provide actionable insights, and ensure alignment with corporate objectives. This role liaises with country leadership and global finance to enable alignment of targets and expectations. The incumbent supports strategic decision-making, oversees financial processes, and champions digital transformation and process improvement within the finance function, as well as supporting other operations initiatives.
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary responsibilities of this role, Director, Financial Planning & Analytics (FP&A) – US Consumer Health, are to:
+ Responsible for management reporting, performance review, and analysis of the US business, providing financial updates to the US divisional leadership team with a focus on business drivers, insights, and proactive risk/opportunity management.
+ Responsible for Ambition setting, forecasting, and quarterly steering of the complete P&L, working capital, Capex, and cash flow metrics.
+ Accountable for preparation of financial updates, business analytics, and presentations for business reviews and forecasts.
+ Manage the financial aspects of the SBP process for the US, providing input, analytics, and tracking support for strategic priorities.
+ Responsible for consolidation and analysis of the US long-term plan from a finance perspective highlighting key insights and drivers, develop and quantify scenarios and optionality, and conduct sensitivity analysis.
+ Responsible for the financial review of organic and inorganic business opportunities with a view to challenge assumptions, and develop alternate scenarios to support business steering.
+ Ensure consistent planning and reporting processes, assumptions, and analysis to fully understand P&L components, aligning with local and global stakeholders.
+ Provide relevant business insights with advanced analytics, scenario development, sensitivity analysis, and transparency in planning assumptions.
+ Proactively engage with senior US leadership and enable them to steer business objectives through consistent steering principles and analytics.
+ Enable and track resource allocation decisions in line with strategic/operational plans, proposing corrective actions as needed.
+ Drives demand forecasting processes with Supply Chain, Marketing, and Commercial Operations.
+ Monitor financial incentive plans (e.g., STI, local sales incentive plans).
+ Collaborate with US and global support functions to improve P&L steering and provide transparency into costs and drivers.
+ Support improvement initiatives from the US country platform and global division.
+ Strive for continuous efficiency and quality improvement through standardization and automation of processes, especially in planning and reporting.
+ Dedicate a portion of time to float within the finance professional home, supporting broader finance initiatives and professional development **.**
WHO YOU ARE
Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:
Required Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree in finance or business-related discipline;
+ Experience in financial and functional management positions, with in-depth understanding of financial and business transactions in a global business;
+ Profound finance (forecasting, ambition setting, management reporting) and international accounting standards knowledge;
+ Proven track record in supporting senior management, commercial heads, and managing global processes/stakeholders;
+ Strong networking capabilities within a matrix organization;
+ Multi-task management and priority setting; M&A experience is a plus;
+ Solid business knowledge in Life Sciences or FMCG;
+ Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills;
+ Excellent analytical, organizational, and conceptual skills;
+ Strategic mindset, business insights, courage, collaboration, and cross-functional networking skills;
+ Ability to work cross-culturally and influence all levels of management;
+ Fluent English.
**Preferred Qualifications** :
+ Master’s degree;
+ 15 years of experience in financial and functional management positions, with in-depth understanding of financial and business transactions in a global business.
Employees can expect to be paid a salary of between $154,515 – $231,772 Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant). Additional benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc. This salary range is merely an estimate and may vary based on an applicant’s location, market data/ranges, an applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors.
