    Job Summary:

    Provide division level strategic support for the ALI (Advanced Leads & Insights) senior director and leadership team to achieve enterprise and division goals in these key support areas: critical workstreams program management, digital portfolio business stakeholder management, cross-divisional and transformation projects focusing on processes and communication, division budget management & goals, and operational support activities.

     

    The Advanced Leads & Insights product portfolio mission is develop & deliver robust insights and accurate leads to Caterpillar & Dealers, driving growth in Services, Machines, Rental and Technology adoption.

    What You Will Do:

    The Program Manager is accountable for ensuring successful completion of projects, on-time, within budget, and error-free. The principal responsibility of the Program Manager is to proactively manage the digital portfolio of stakeholders and maintains key relationships with all levels of global managers and working teams across divisions and departments. The individual will be responsible for managing the project charter, communications, metrics scorecards, reporting, and the overall project plan and budget.

     

    + Represent portfolio through strong digital product understanding and provide leadership to product owners on digital product communication strategy including dealer webinars.

    + Use knowledge of marketing and digital processes and business acumen to guide cross-functional teams in the execution of projects.

    + Define program scope with program success indicators to reap benefits of the program within a defined timeframe.

    + Prioritize program requirements working with Product Owner or other stakeholders.

    + Incumbent will support various project teams and obtain/provide a variety of information starting at concept stage and continuing through prototype, pilot, implementation and follow-up stages of various projects

    + Develop and produce project management schedules.

    + Use professional project management tools and techniques to manage reporting, tracking charts, checklist, and project scheduling software and to delegate appropriately.

    + Manage change and take active leadership in timely decision making.

    + Manage schedules that reflect detailed information related to the changes, including effected components and functions, timelines for various stages of project completion, cost, etc.

    + Will work with the individual team members from multiple functional disciplines and customers to establish completion dates.

    + Monitor progress of projects, discusses problems with affected areas, assures appropriate personnel are informed of problem and steps are in place to meet schedules.

    + Depending on nature of problems, expected to recommend possible solutions and alternatives.

    + Limited travel required (Less than 25% of working time).

    What You Will Have:

    + **Planning: Tactical, Strategic:** Knowledge of effective planning techniques and ability to contribute to operational (short term), tactical (1-2 years) and strategic (3-5 years) planning in support of the overall business plan.

    + **Project Administration:** Knowledge of project administration best practices and ability to use organizational strategies, practices and tools for administering projects.

    + **Decision Making and Critical Thinking:** Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.

    + **Digital Project Management:** Knowledge of project management; ability to plan, organize, monitor and control digital projects using appropriate technical resources.

    Considerations For Top Candidates:

    + Proven experience with project management concepts including project charters, scheduling and planning projects and successful completion

    + Excellent interpersonal skills are required in order to deal with sensitive issues, develop others, or influence others inside and outside the department to take specific actions.

    + Excellent communication skills

    + Knowledge of construction, mining, power generation businesses preferred

    + Understanding Caterpillar dealership operations preferred

    + Strong interest in digital and AI transformation

    + The position typically requires a college or university degree or certification that is equivalent.

    + PMP certification preferred

    + Certified Scrum Master (CSM) preferred

    + Change Management Certification preferred

    + Six Sigma Black Belt Certification desirable

    + Previous agile training (spring planning, daily scrums, sprint, retrospective)

    + Working knowledge of JIRA and Azure DevOps (formerly VSTS), Confluence

    + Advance knowledge of Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Project

    Summary Pay Range:

    $159,120.00 - $238,680.00

     

    Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
