    Description

    The Construction Technology and Innovation Consultant will provide development and deployment of advanced processes, tools, and technology to drive the efficient delivery of projects. The Technology and Innovation Consultant will partner with project teams, project managers, business line managers, and division management throughout the evaluation of market and business trends, problem identification, solution creation, and implementation phases while adhering to budget constraints, design factors and client needs.

     

    Day to day activity may also include business process analysis, data analysis, associated communication and documentation, representing Construction needs to vendors and technology delivery groups/providers, and supporting technology implementations/upgrades/enhancements to achieve business objectives.

     

    + Assist project teams to document business process and identify ways to improve execution of projects and services to improve workflow and efficiencies.

    + Present proposed project execution solutions (including, software, hardware, code writing, automated processes etc.).

    + Responsible for executing proof of concept activities including detailed savings, benefits and automated process improvements.

    + Implement technology solutions to stakeholder successful adoption.

    + Provide technology support to teams and processes to ensure optimal utilization.

    + Evaluate existing processes and technology tools and deploy new tools to improve efficiency and workflow improvements on client projects.

    + Research and implement new technology and develop innovative approaches to our services and client deliverables.

    + Attend tradeshows and conferences to present emerging trends, markets and technologies to leadership.

    + Develop technologically innovative products, solutions, and services to create new revenue streams and improve project profit margins.

    + Assist in the development of business cases for large investments and initiatives to enter into a partnership.

    + Assist in the presentation and launch of new venture through Burns & McDonnell Launch program.

    + Develop and maintain external vendor relationships and evaluate integration of their solution(s) into business processes.

    + Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as IT and Strategic Initiatives, to build wholistic and cohesive solutions for clients.

    + All other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    + Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related degree from an accredited program and 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in the consulting industry required.

    + OR Associate's degree and 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in the consulting industry required.

    + OR High School Diploma/GED and 7 years of relevant experience, preferably in the consulting industry required.

    + Strong knowledge and proficient in standard engineering techniques and procedures for project and program management.

    + Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    + Excellent presentation skills with internal and external audiences of various sizes.

    + Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office, CAD platforms, GIS, analysis programs, and data acquisition platforms.

    + Strong knowledge in computer logic and data analytics preferred.

    + Ability to work methodically and analytically in a quantitative problem-solving environment and demonstrated critical thinking skills.

    + Strong attention to detail, facilitation, team building, collaboration, organization, and problem-solving skills.

    + Demonstrated ability of advanced learning of new concepts and applying knowledge to deliverables.

    + Experience with Oracle or SAP ERP systems preferred.Preferred Technical Experience

    + Proven experience implementing Advanced Work Packaging (AWP) software solutions on large capital projects preferred.

    + iConstruct implementation experience is preferred.

    + Experience working with Jovix is preferred.

    + Knowledge of Procore software is preferred.

    + Demonstrated ability to define and lead data integrity initiatives for EPC projects to support construction preferred.

     

    This job posting will remain open a minimum of 72 hours and on an ongoing basis until filled.
