Trane Technologies is hiring a Maintenance Technician in Charlotte, NC at our Trane remanufacturing plant. The team is looking for an experienced and capable maintenance technician to work with the manufacturing and facilities teams to implement process improvements, improve quality, reduce equipment failures, and maintain production & building facilities equipment.
Candidates for this position must possess excellent interpersonal skills and have the ability to work effectively and lead others in a participative environment, as well as work independently in a self-directed work group.

Job Summary:
Maintenance Technician responsible for maintenance on all production and facility equipment with emphasis on avoiding equipment down-time and to resolve quality and production related issues in the spirit of continuous improvement. Including, but not limited to, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, HVAC, and mechanical troubleshooting.
Employees in the Maintenance role are responsible to work in accordance with predetermined safety, quality, method and sequencing standards according to Standard Work.
Responsibilities:
Perform preventive maintenance tasks on both production equipment and facilities equipment.
Troubleshoot and repair production equipment and facilities equipment.
Research, identify, and source repair/replacement component parts and equipment.
Assist in planning and installation of new equipment and improvements to the building/ facility.
Contact and communicate with contractors, equipment manufacturers, and suppliers to support the operation, service, and repair of production equipment and facilities equipment.
Attend safety training and adhere to all safety rules and procedures.
Participate in safety programs.
Maintain equipment service records and documentation.
Qualifications:
Good communication skills. Excellent Electrical and Mechanical Aptitude. Ability to Learn quickly and enthusiastically. Must have good trouble-shooting skills and be able to innovate. Must exhibit a professional approach to working with internal & external team members. Must have excellent knowledge and experience with industrial electrical equipment and North Carolina and National Electrical Code, an electrical contractor’s license for the state of North Carolina is preferred. Good broad technical knowledge, particularly in electrical wiring, power systems, and mechanical systems. Knowledge of, and experience with, hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Experience and thorough understanding of HVAC systems. Knowledge and experience with electronics, in particular PLC's, would be a plus. Experience in machining is preferred. Must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Must be able to employ a professional approach to understand and resolve technical issues pertaining to production equipment, facilities equipment, including HVAC systems, and general building & grounds maintenance. Strong knowledge & experience in general electrical, mechanical, HVAC, pneumatic, and hydraulic technology. Positive attitude, good communicator. Ability to work well with individuals from other work groups, disciplines, organizational levels, and backgrounds. Strong work ethic. Supportive of peers and co-workers. Takes initiative ("self-starter") and can work autonomously with minimal direction.
