**Yearout Mechanical Project Assistant Internship Description Position:** Projects Estimating Intern

**Reports to:** Special Project Manager/Chief Estimator

**Pay:** $15 per hour

**Length of Internship:** 16 - 20 weeks

**Weekly Hours:** 20

**When Work Happens:** Monday – Friday, Flexible Hours between 7 am and 5 pm; Friday 7 am – 11 am

Where Work Happens:

In person at Yearout Mechanical – 8501 Washington St. NE, Albuquerque, NM 87113

Qualifications:

+ High School Diploma or GED

+ Current college student – business management student or construction trades student preferred

+ Strong written and verbal skills

+ Good time management skills

+ Organized student with a positive attitude and willingness to learn

+ Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel and Outlook

What You Will Learn:

+ Trained in completing estimating sheets and proposal writing

+ Assist with vendor and sub-contractor cost efforts

+ Trained in plan review and spec verification search

+ Assist with support in turnover with internal Project Management team

+ Attend job walks on current projects and potential projects

Pre-employment Requirements:

•** **Drug screening and Breath Analyzer Test

+ Non-disclosure agreement
