Pay Rate:

_The pay rate for this job is $17 - $17 / hour*_

What you'll be doing as a** **Maintenance Worker** **:

+ Perform routine maintenance and repair of streetscape infrastructure within the Downtown Corridor, including sidewalks, curbing, parking areas, signage, and public amenities

+ Maintain landscaped areas by mowing, edging, trimming, pruning, weeding, and maintaining irrigation systems

+ Assemble, install, repair, and clean amenities such as benches, planters, bike racks, trash receptacles, banners, and signs

+ Remove graffiti, litter, debris, and refuse from streets, sidewalks, and parking areas

+ Operate hand and power tools and light equipment; perform basic preventive maintenance and minor repairs

+ Assist skilled trades staff, utility workers, and contractors with higher-level maintenance projects

+ Perform traffic control duties including installing barricades, cones, striping, and directing traffic

+ Clean, paint, pressure wash, and apply surface sealants to streetscape features and facilities

+ Prepare tools, equipment, and materials for daily assignments and load/unload vehicles as needed

+ Follow all safety procedures and utilize proper protective equipment

+ Perform heavy manual labor for extended periods and complete other related duties as assigned

Available shifts:

Shift Timings - 1st Shift (Day)

Job requirements:

+ High school diploma or GED required

+ CDL not required, but preferred

+ Valid Florida driver's license

+ General knowledge of construction and maintenance safety practices

+ Ability to operate hand and power tools and light equipment

+ Ability to follow oral and written instructions and work effectively with others and the public

+ Ability to perform basic math calculations

+ Ability to work outdoors in varying and extreme weather conditions

+ Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 80 pounds occasionally

+ Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb ladders, work overhead, and work in confined spaces

+ Background check and drug testing required
