    Responsibilities

    Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of equipment and systems throughout the facility.

    Responsibilities:

    + Install tests, maintain and repair mechanical machinery, equipment and systems as scheduled or needed.

    + Perform utility and structural repairs as needed, alone or in collaboration with internal/external trades.

    + Inspect and test equipment.

    + Document and maintain records of inspections and work performed pursuant to departmental policies and warranty/vendor requirements.

    + Requisition materials and supplies, maintain inventory.

    + Respond to emergency calls in a timely manner.

    + Perform other duties as assigned.

    Requirements

    Licensure / Certification / Registration:

    + Maintenance Professional specializing in Mechanics preferred.

    Education:

    + High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate'sdegree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

    The Ascension St. Vincent Heart Center is hiring a Maintenance Mechanic with the following qualities:

     

    + Jack of all Trades

    + Knowledge of low voltage electrical

    + Knowledge of reading schematics

    + Knowledge of motors and pumps

    + Knowledge of standard plumbing (fix sinks/toilets)

    + Some possible knowledge repairing drywall

    + Someone who is very self motivated and able to work alone.

     

    Prefer someone with 3-4 years of healthcare facilities experience. If commercial facilities experience, prefer someone with 7 years of experience.
