    Job Description

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    + Direct and coordinate daily activities involved in producing the products

    + Meet production goals.

    + Establishing and/or adjusting work procedures and manpower to meet production schedules

    + Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, product quality and employee safety

    + Assisting workers in solving problems

    + Implements plans to motivate employees to achieve work goals

    + Handles counseling, training and development of direct reports

    Education and Experience:

    + Minimum 5-8 years in manufacturing, 3 in supervisory capacity

    + Associates degree or higher with supervisory certifications

    + Prior Leader ship experience required

    + Knowledge of Lean manufacturing, 5S, and World Class Manufacturing concepts, practices and procedures is desirable

    Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

    + Ability to work in a multi-tasking team environment

    + Ability to work with little or no notice of overtime when needed

    + Ability to read technical drawings, specifications and procedures

    + Good interpersonal communication skills – written and verbal.

    + Excellent Organizational Skills

    + Computer Literate- experience with Microsoft Office, ERP/MRP (helpful)

    + Ability to apply common sense in performing job

    + Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals

    + Ability to use basic high school math skills

    Supervisory Responsibilities:

    + Production Operators and Testers

    + IFS Overview

    + Quality Systems

    + Hazardous Communications

    Physical Demands:

    + Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds

    + Repetitive motions

    Work Environment:

    + Production floor environment

    Personal Protective Equipment:

    + Safety glasses required at all times

    + Safety shoes
