Job Title: Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP)

**Location:** 28 Abby Rd, Palmyra, VA 22963

**Schedule:** Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM

_May be required to travel to Richmond, VA for training (3–4 days)_

Duration:** 3+ Months Contract with **FTE Conversion Potential

**Pay Rate:** $70 – $77 per hour

Job Description

The Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) delivers patient-centered healthcare services in a retail clinic environment. This role involves working collaboratively with a dedicated healthcare team while independently providing holistic, evidence-based care. Responsibilities include comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management of health conditions, health counseling, and disposition planning for patients **18 months of age and older** . All patient care is documented using a computerized electronic health record (EHR). This position reports directly to the **Senior Practice Manager** . Clinic locations are based within select **Pharmacy and Target store locations** . Key Responsibilities

Patient-Centered Quality & Safety

+ Educate patients on health maintenance and disease prevention

+ Evaluate, treat, co-manage, and provide recommendations for patient care

+ Deliver safe, high-quality, evidence-based treatment

+ Document all patient encounters accurately in the EHR

+ Support development of Patient-Centered Practice Teams

+ Respond to patient care inquiries throughout the workday

Customer Service Excellence

+ Enhance patient engagement and satisfaction through continuous feedback

+ Maintain effective communication with patients, leadership, and clinical peers

Healthcare Environment Management

+ Resolve conflicts using appropriate management techniques

+ Foster strong relationships with clinic staff and retail partners

+ Balance multiple priorities while managing patient care needs

+ Manage clinical and non-clinical responsibilities

+ Adapt to evolving patient care models to improve clinic efficiency

+ Demonstrate organizational core values in all interactions

+ Support hiring and professional development of practice staff

+ Improve operational effectiveness with a focus on cost containment without compromising quality

+ Validate insurance coverage and integrate findings into patient care plans

Experience Requirements

+ Minimum **6 months of professional FNP experience**

+ **Candidate questionnaire must be included on the resume**

+ DEA registration must be **initiated at the time of offer**

+ Strong verbal, written, and electronic communication skills

Education & Licensure

+ Master’s Degree from an accredited **Family Nurse Practitioner program**

+ Current **National Board Certification**

+ Active, unrestricted **state license** to practice as an Advanced Practice Nurse

+ DEA application required at the time of offer
