Introduction

Your role and responsibilities

AI Software Research Engineer, IBM Corporation, Yorktown Heights, NY:

* Improve and optimize the company’s AIU Spyre accelerator software stack.

* Contribute to the PyTorch backend integration for the Spyre chip.

* Contribute to hardware-software co-design, working with a cross-functional team to optimize AI (Artificial Intelligence) workloads on the Spyre chip.

* Develop various test suites and end-to-end CI/CD pipelines to test and evaluate various algorithms and techniques end-to-end using open-source and proprietary AI models.

* Collaborate closely with the internal Watsonx product team to take some of the research ideas to production.

* Work on various AI model enablement on the AIU Spyre chip, including state-of-the-art models and emerging models.

* Work with researchers to publish in top-quality conferences.

* Contribute to documentation and client enablement on AIU chip.

* Utilize Python, Bash, Jupyterlab, Machine Learning (Large Language Model (LLM), Natural Language Processing (NLP), Github, Pytorch.

Required: Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related (employer will accept a bachelor’s degree plus five (5) years of progressive experience in lieu of a Master’s degree) and one (1) year of experience as an AI Software Engineer or related. One (1) year of experience must include utilizing Python, Bash, Jupyterlab, Machine Learning (Large Language Model (LLM), Natural Language Processing (NLP), Github, Pytorch. $170205 - $200000 per year. Full time. H267.

Required technical and professional expertise
