The **Quality Manager** leads the Quality Management System and drives the development and execution of the Business Quality Strategy to ensure consistent, compliant, and high-quality outcomes across SageGlass. This role establishes and maintains quality policies, standards, and processes that meet customer and regulatory requirements while incorporating input from key stakeholders.
Leading a multidisciplinary team of technicians, analysts, a supervisor, and engineers, the Quality Manager partners closely with cross-functional leaders across Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, Sales, Finance, and Field Operations. Success in this role requires strong influence without direct authority and the ability to translate complex requirements into practical, value-adding solutions.
With a strong understanding of glass industry regulations and Quality Management Systems, the Quality Manager protects the business, customers, and employees by preventing quality risks and effectively mitigating issues when they arise.
Job Summary
Main duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
+ Lead and develop the Quality organization (engineers and technicians), establishing a clear Quality Vision and executing the Business Quality Strategy.
+ Direct Quality resources, roles, and systems to protect the business and customers while building confidence in product quality.
+ Implement, maintain, and continuously improve the Quality Management System, including MOC, Contract Review, RCCA, NPI, Document Control, and Training.
+ Champion a customer-focused Quality culture and partner with functional leaders to ensure sustainable Quality system execution.
+ Define, track, and report Cost of Quality metrics to monitor performance and support business reviews.
+ Ensure full integration of customer, regulatory, and Saint-Gobain requirements across all business functions.
+ Establish and enforce policies, controls, specifications, and qualification plans to mitigate compliance and product risk.
+ Maintain and develop certified Quality systems (ETA, EN1279, IGCC/IGMA, SGCC, CCC) and lead external audits.
+ Lead continuous improvement through robust root cause analysis, corrective action, and accountability mechanisms.
+ Own customer feedback, complaints, and warranty management, driving resolution, cost control, supplier collaboration, and customer satisfaction.
Education
+ Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology, or Science (Electrical, Chemical, Mechanical, or Materials-related disciplines required).
Experience
+ Minimum **5 years of quality-related experience** in a manufacturing environment; glass industry experience strongly preferred.
+ At least **3 years of people management or team leadership** experience.
+ Experience applying **Quality Core Tools** , including FMEA, Control Plans, and PPAP.
+ Demonstrated experience with **root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action systems** .
+ Experience working in **regulated industries** (e.g., automotive, aerospace, life sciences) preferred.
+ Hands-on experience developing or implementing **Quality Management Systems** , including procedures and specifications, preferred.
+ Experience participating in or supporting **customer and regulatory audits** , preferred.
+ Exposure to **continuous improvement methodologies** (Lean, Kaizen, 5S, Six Sigma), preferred.
+ Working knowledge of **process capability, measurement systems, and reliability concepts** (MSA, Cp/Cpk), preferred.
+ Experience with **data management and analytics platforms** (minimum 2 years), preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
+ Proven ability to establish a clear Quality vision and execute strategy through strong analytical, systemic, and tactical thinking.
+ Demonstrated success influencing and partnering across a **matrixed organization** without direct authority.
+ Ability to drive alignment and gain buy-in on critical quality initiatives with leadership, operations, customers, and suppliers.
+ Strong **project management, change management, and internal consulting** skills; comfortable leading cross-functional, technically complex teams.
+ Ability to assess and manage the impact of changes to systems, products, and process controls.
+ Knowledge of Quality Management Systems and industry standards (ISO 9001, ETA, EN1279, IGCC/IGMA, SGCC, CCC) preferred.
+ Excellent **technical writing, communication, and presentation** skills.
Certifications (Preferred)
+ Lean or World Class Manufacturing training or certification.
+ Six Sigma Yellow Belt (or higher).

Certain locations require pay information be provided in job postings. Saint-Gobain aims to deliver a comprehensive Total Rewards package to support our employees’ wellbeing and help improve daily life for themselves and their families. We believe in the importance of pay transparency in what we offer potential candidates. Provided is the national pay range for this position which is **$111,000** to **$177,000** per year. However, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is **15%** of base salary based on company and individual performance measures. The Total Target Cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position is **$126,600** to **$203,500.** Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.
