This role supports high-quality, patient-centered care across multiple clinical environments, including the Main Emergency Department, ED Observation Unit, and Rapid Medical Evaluation (RME) area. The APP will practice in a fast-paced academic medical center with progressive autonomy, practicing at the top of licensure and scope while collaborating closely with attending physicians, residents, nursing, and interprofessional team members.

The APP will be welcomed into UVA’s Center for Advanced Practice, the professional home for APPs across the health system, and will work under the direct clinical oversight of the UVA School of Medicine’s Department of Emergency Medicine, which oversees the ED’s medical practice.

    Preferred Qualifications –

    • Prior emergency medicine or urgent care experience in a high-acuity, high-volume setting, including exposure to rapid assessment models and observation medicine.
