As a **Security Guard - Armed Mall Patrol** in **Brownsville, TX** , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting regular patrols throughout a dynamic retail location. This is an armed and driving post, where you will interact with the public, provide outstanding customer service, and remain highly visible to support a secure environment. What You'll Do:

+ Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, responding appropriately to emergencies as needed.

+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing de-escalation techniques when possible.

+ Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.

+ Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas to help to deter theft and/or other prohibited activities.

+ Document incidents, observations, and/or unusual occurrences in a timely and accurate manner according to Allied Universal protocols.

+ Collaborate with store management and local law enforcement as necessary while maintaining a professional presence.

+ Remain visible and approachable to assist customers and staff with security-related concerns and/or questions.

Minimum Requirements:

+ A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.

+ At least one year of security-related experience is required.

+ At least six months of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience is required.

+ Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.

+ Level III armed certification is required for positions in Texas only.

+ Applicants must be able to ride a bike.

+ Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
