As a **Security Officer - Armed Patrol Specialist** in **Houston, TX** , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will actively patrol retail locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a strong visible presence. What You'll Do:

+ Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as required.

+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.

+ Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and promote a secure environment.

+ Monitor for suspicious activity and report any incidents or hazards according to established protocols.

+ Assist store staff and visitors with security-related concerns and provide guidance as needed.

+ Maintain a visible presence to help to deter theft, vandalism, and other disruptive behaviors within the retail environment.

+ Prepare clear and accurate reports on incidents, observations, and activities during each shift.

+ Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency responders as necessary during incidents or emergencies.

+ Adhere to all company, client, and legal requirements regarding the carrying and use of firearms while on duty.

Minimum Requirements:

+ An active armed guard card or license is required.

+ At least 6 months of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience is required.

+ Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.

+ A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.

+ Level III armed certification is required for positions in Texas only.

+ At least 5 years of security-related experience is required.

+ Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
