    Our client, Industry Descriptor is seeking a Desktop Technician - Expert Level to join their team. As a Desktop Technician - Expert Level, you will be part of the Support Services supporting IT Operations and Technical Support Teams. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive attitude which will align successfully in the organization.

     

    **Job Title:** Desktop Technician - Expert Level

    **Location:** Clinton Township, NJ

     

    Pay Rate: $35 - $37/hr.

     

    What's the Job?

     

    + Perform operational support for the Clinton Research Facility, including management of user accounts and lab-related computer systems.

    + Support a domain migration project to enhance security and infrastructure robustness.

    + Maintain and reconcile lab inventory, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.

    + Test and implement application virtualization solutions, transitioning to VDI where applicable.

    + Collaborate with lab technicians and vendors to perform upgrades, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance on instrumentation applications.

     

    What's Needed?

     

    + Experience supporting various Windows operating systems, including legacy protocols and environments.

    + Knowledge of virtualized infrastructure such as VDI and VMware platforms.

    + Ability to remotely manage computers via Active Directory and Remote Desktop.

    + Familiarity with hardware components, drivers, and network configurations.

    + Strong documentation skills and the ability to research and develop technical solutions.
