    Our client, an industry leader in manufacturing, is seeking a dedicated 1st Shift Jointer to join their team. As a 1st Shift Jointer, you will be an integral part of the Production Department supporting the Face team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, reliability, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully within the organization.

     

    **Job Title:** 1st Shift Operator

    **Location:** Newport, NC

    Pay Range:

    **Shift:** Monday-Friday, 7:00am-3:30pm

     

    What's the Job?

     

    + Examine veneer sheets for defects and grade quality to ensure standards are met.

    + Operate splicing and jointing machines by cutting veneer into proper dimensions for larger sheets.

    + Feed veneer sheets into machines to trim and cut to specified sizes.

    + Operate the splicer to form large sheets of veneer by joining jointed sheets.

    + Maintain a clean and safe working environment by adhering to all safety procedures and regulations.

     

    What's Needed?

     

    + High school diploma or GED equivalent.

    + Conscientiousness and reliability in attendance and work quality.

    + Basic mechanical skills and good hand-eye coordination.

    + Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes.

    + Effective time management and teamwork skills.
