As a **Security Officer - Retail Mall Patrols** in **Christiansburg, VA** , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned retail locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while remaining highly visible to guests and staff. You will play a key role in maintaining a welcoming atmosphere, providing outstanding customer service, and communicating clearly with visitors and team members. What You'll Do:

+ Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.

+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting and reporting as required.

+ Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns.

+ Observe and report any suspicious activity, hazards, or maintenance issues encountered during patrols.

+ Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits, and verifying credentials as needed.

+ Collaborate with site staff and Allied Universal team members to support a secure and welcoming environment for guests and employees.

+ Assist in implementing emergency response protocols and provide guidance to visitors and staff during incidents.

Minimum Requirements:

+ Customer service experience is preferred.

+ Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

+ A guard card or license is preferred.

+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
