    Our client, a technology company supporting the utility and energy sector, is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer – Python to join their team. As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will be part of the Engineering organization supporting product and platform development teams. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, a collaborative mindset, and technical leadership ability, which will align successfully in the organization.

    **Type:** Full-time (Direct hire)

     

    What’s the Job?

     

    + Lead the design, development, and maintenance of scalable backend services and APIs

    + Collaborate with frontend and cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end solutions

    + Optimize applications for performance, reliability, scalability, and security

    + Conduct code reviews and mentor junior engineers

    + Contribute to backend architecture and engineering best practices

     

    What’s Needed?

     

    + 7+ years of backend engineering experience using Python

    + Strong experience building APIs with FastAPI or similar frameworks

    + Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL preferred)

    + Hands-on experience with Docker and containerized environments

    + Ability to work independently and contribute quickly in a fast-paced environment
