Night Shift Electrical Technician
Industrial Manufacturing | Full-Time | Night Shift
Compensation & Incentives
+ **Hourly Pay:** **$30–$32 per hour**
+ **Night Shift Differential:** **5%**
+ **Weekly Attendance Bonus:** **+$1 per hour worked** _(Up to ~$40 extra per week)_
+ **Quarterly Gainsharing Bonus:** Typically, **$300–$400 per quarter** _(Potential for $1,200 -$1,600 additional annually - based on company performance)_
+ **Retention Bonus:** **$500 after 90 days**
Schedule (Rotating Night Shift)
+ **Week 1:** Monday–Wednesday | **7:00 PM – 7:00 AM**
+ **Week 2:** Monday–Thursday | **7:00 PM – 7:00 AM**
This schedule provides built-in extended time off while maintaining consistent full-time hours.
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced **Night Shift Electrical Technician** to support a high-speed industrial manufacturing operation. This role is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing advanced electrical, mechanical, and control systems to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations during overnight production.
The ideal candidate brings strong electrical and controls expertise, thrives in a hands-on environment, and values safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
+ Troubleshoot and repair electrical, control, and automation systems on production equipment.
+ Maintain and support PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, servos, motors, and industrial networking components.
+ Perform preventive, predictive, and proactive maintenance activities.
+ Read and interpret electrical schematics, prints, and ladder logic.
+ Support equipment changeovers, installations, testing, and validation of new machinery.
+ Monitor production equipment and make adjustments to ensure optimal operation.
+ Identify root causes of electrical failures and implement corrective actions.
+ Participate in planned shutdowns and continuous improvement initiatives.
+ Maintain accurate maintenance records using a CMMS.
+ Communicate equipment status, priorities, and issues with operations and leadership.
+ Follow all safety procedures, electrical codes, and best practices at all times.
Required Qualifications
+ Associate or technical degree in **Electrical, Electromechanical, or Mechanical Technology** (or equivalent experience).
+ **5+ years of industrial maintenance experience** in a manufacturing environment.
+ Hands-on experience with:
+ PLC troubleshooting & ladder logic
+ Allen-Bradley / RSLogix / Studio 5000
+ HMIs and industrial networking
+ 3-phase motors, VFDs, servos
+ Hydraulics, pneumatics, air compressors, and mechanical systems
+ Strong knowledge of **NFPA 70E, NEC** , and electrical safety best practices.
+ Experience with preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
+ CMMS experience preferred.
+ Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Physical & Work Requirements
+ Ability to lift up to **50 lbs**
+ Ability to climb ladders, stairs, and work in tight or confined spaces
+ Willingness to work overtime and on-call as required
+ Comfortable working in an active industrial environment
