Job Title: Microarray Operator
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Microarray Operator to join our team on the 3rd shift from 10pm to 6:30am, Sunday through Thursday. In this role, you will play an integral part in maintaining the flow of production operations and ensuring the quality and integrity of our products.
Responsibilities
+ Assist in setting the daily schedule, priorities, and task delegation.
+ Supervise and set up machines, including microarrayers, changeover, troubleshooting, and handling rejected or defective products.
+ Monitor team members for quality production output using PLC controls, routine quality inspection checks, integrity testing, and visual inspections.
+ Notify management team of any defects found during quality checks.
+ Perform data entry into the ERP systems (Oracle and Oracal) regularly.
+ Follow work instructions, product specifications, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to maintain quality data.
+ Utilize lab equipment such as pipettes, centrifuges, Bio-safety cabinet (BSC), and degas system to provide materials for Microarrayers.
+ Lead and train co-workers and new hires as needed.
+ Perform equipment preventative maintenance and quarterly maintenance activities, including cleaning cleanrooms.
+ Adhere to GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice), Safety, and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) standards.
+ Properly handle and dispose of hazardous materials.
+ Follow daily and weekly lab cleaning routines using 5S methodology.
+ Meet daily production goals and minimize downtime.
+ Communicate effectively with management team and maintenance functions.
+ Participate in department and company meetings.
+ Adhere to attendance policy.
Essential Skills
+ Experience in machine operation and production.
+ Knowledge of cleanroom protocols and feeder systems.
+ Proficiency in PLCs and ISO standards.
+ Experience in medical device inspection and computer operation.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience working in an FDA-approved cleanroom.
+ High attention to detail.
+ Experience operating multiple machines.
+ Experience with wearing PPE.

Work Environment
Our work environment is temperature-controlled and requires working in a cleanroom, where you will be required to wear a smock, hair net, and shoe covers.

This is a Permanent position based out of Northbrook, IL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr.
