Job Title: Shipping Coordinator

Job Description

This position requires a self-reliant, highly motivated individual capable of working both independently and as part of a team. The candidate must excel at multitasking in a fast-paced environment, ensuring tasks are completed in an organized, accurate, and efficient manner. Responsibilities include overseeing shipping, order fulfillment, customer returns, and managing shipping supply inventory.

Responsibilities

+ Ensure orders and shipping quantities match picking documents.

+ Pick and pack orders per instructions in preparation for shipment.

+ Coordinate with package delivery companies and freight forwarders to ship goods promptly.

+ Receive shipping supply inventory and verify accuracy before shelving products.

+ Process outbound shipments, including handling boxes weighing up to 40 pounds, occasionally up to 50 pounds.

+ Utilize palletizing materials and a pallet jack.

+ Maintain accurate records of all items shipped and received.

+ Prepare shipping documents, including packing lists, commercial invoices, and shipping labels for domestic and international shipments.

+ Follow up on any shipping delays promptly.

+ Purchase and maintain shipping materials and inventory.

+ Provide shipping quotes to the sales team.

+ Stay current with key safety training.

+ Perform other essential duties as needed.

Essential Skills

+ At least 3 years of experience in shipping and receiving.

+ At least 3 years of experience in inventory management.

+ Experience with various shipping methods and logistics.

+ Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

+ Strong math and communication skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience with Incoterms and export requirements.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Alameda, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $26.00/hr.
