Job Title: Assistant Supervisor** **Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and organized Assistant Supervisor to join our team. This role involves coordinating department activities, assisting in the evaluation of employee performance, and ensuring proper employment conditions are maintained. The ideal candidate will have experience in the janitorial field, particularly related to retail or office cleaning.

Responsibilities

+ Assist in coordinating department activities by scheduling work assignments and setting priorities.

+ Support the Supervisor and Manager in evaluating employee performance through reviews of completed work and techniques.

+ Attend required training sessions and identify staff development and training needs.

+ Ensure proper employment relations and conditions are maintained.

+ Maintain records, prepare reports, and compose correspondence related to work.

+ Respond to management and executive requests efficiently and safely.

+ Conduct rounds to check for crew coverage of work areas and assign additional coverage as needed.

+ Inspect cleanliness and investigate tenant complaints, providing corrective instructions to subordinates.

+ Determine and requisition materials, supplies, and equipment needs.

+ Inspect equipment for cleanliness and repair, performing minor repairs as necessary.

+ Ensure all mandatory training is scheduled for staff upon hire and annually.

Essential Skills

+ Valid Driver’s License

+ Minimum high school diploma or GED

+ 1-3 years of relevant experience in supervisory roles or janitorial fields

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience in retail and/or office cleaning is preferred

+ Security skills are advantageous
