Job Title: Multi-Craft Maintenance Mechanic
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Multi-Craft Maintenance Mechanic to provide efficient and effective maintenance support, ensuring the seamless operation of our production systems. You will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and clean work environment, supporting daily operations with technical expertise, and achieving significant improvements in production objectives.
Responsibilities
+ Provide maintenance support to meet customer needs while maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
+ Engage with departmental projects, tasks, and objectives.
+ Manage configuration and versions of programmable devices, hardware, and systems including PLCs, vision camera systems, barcode scanners, and more.
+ Perform corrective and preventative maintenance on electrical, mechanical, electronic, and electromechanical production equipment and building systems.
+ Assist with setup and operation activities, installation, and setup of new equipment.
+ Troubleshoot and resolve breakdowns of hydraulic, pneumatic, and high voltage electrical systems without assistance.
+ Work from layout plans, blueprints, repair manuals, sketches, and verbal instructions.
+ Diagnose and perform maintenance on CNC equipment and other control systems.
+ Ensure strict adherence to safety procedures and facility work rules.
+ Handle chemicals safely and maintain SDS documents.
+ Participate in cost reduction and continuous improvement programs.
+ Maintain the highest ethical standards, personal and intellectual integrity, and effective communication at all organizational levels.
Essential Skills
+ Experience with automation equipment and PLC, CNC, and electrical maintenance.
+ Ability to troubleshoot hydraulic, pneumatic, and high voltage electrical systems.
+ Proficient in using typical mechanics hand tools, precision measuring instruments, and electrical test equipment.
+ Familiarity with chemical handling procedures, local codes, and cooling systems.
+ Strong analytical, problem-solving, and facilitation skills.
+ Ability to lift 50 pounds manually and repetitively.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ High School Diploma or GED required.
+ 24 to 36 months of trade school or equivalent experience preferred.
+ Ability to communicate effectively with operators, Team Leads, and Engineers.
+ Experience in CNC equipment and repair is a plus.
+ Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software.

Work Environment
Work in a very clean manufacturing environment. Hours vary across shifts: 1st shift from 6:30 am to 2:30 pm, 2nd shift from 2:30 pm to 11 pm, and 3rd shift from 10:00 pm to 6:30 am. Saturdays may be required temporarily. Enjoy a friendly atmosphere with a focus on safety and cleanliness.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of SMITHFIELD, NC.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $30.00/hr.
