Job Title: Sheet Metal Mechanic

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Mechanic to join our team. In this role, you will be fabricating sheet metal in the fab shop and operating automated drop shears and 10-foot brakes. Your responsibilities will include light maintenance around the warehouse, such as sweeping, cleaning, and changing tires on carts, as well as loading and unloading materials from trucks. Additionally, you will deliver sheet metal to job sites around Rochester using a company-provided truck.

Responsibilities

+ Fabricate sheet metal in the fab shop.

+ Operate automated drop shears and 10-foot brakes.

+ Perform light maintenance tasks around the warehouse, including sweeping, cleaning, and changing tires on carts.

+ Load and unload materials to and from trucks.

+ Deliver sheet metal to job sites around Rochester using a company truck.

Essential Skills

+ Experience working with sheet metal equipment.

+ Mechanical aptitude.

+ Valid driver's license.

+ Proficiency in welding, sheet metal fabrication, brake, and press brake operations.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Sheet Metal or relevant experience.

+ Experience in a warehouse setting performing general tasks and responsibilities.

+ Ability to work on your feet all day.

Work Environment

You will work in a climate-controlled shop during winter, although there is no air conditioning in the summer. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm

This is a Permanent position based out of Rochester, NY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $28.00/hr.
