Job Title: Inventory Control Specialist** **Job Description
This role is responsible for maintaining and updating inventory levels in the warehouse while managing orders to facilitate sales and production. The position involves accurately counting available products and placing orders for more inventory, including materials, equipment, merchandise, or supplies according to demand.
Responsibilities
+ Monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels to meet customer demand while identifying shortages.
+ Communicate shortages to Warehouse Manager and Production.
+ Set up Material Resources Planning (MRP).
+ Oversee order fulfillment activities such as pulling parts, stocking, and storing to ensure timely and accurate processing of customer orders.
+ Conduct regular inventory audits and investigate discrepancies, implementing corrective actions.
+ Load and unload containers and review freight documentation.
+ Act as backup for shipping and receiving.
+ Support the purchasing department as needed.
+ Collaborate with team members across departments to achieve team goals.
+ Perform other duties as assigned by your supervisor or management.
Essential Skills
+ Experience using and understanding inventory computer programs.
+ Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
+ Mathematical and analytical skills.
+ Ability to operate standard forklift and pallet jack.
+ Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail to ensure accuracy of records.
+ Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
+ Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Warehouse experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
+ Physically able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds, up to 80 pounds or more.
+ Able to walk, bend, climb stairs, push, pull, use hands to finger, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms.

This is a Contract position based out of Chesapeake, VA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
