    Job Description

    The Mailroom Support role is responsible for assisting in the assembly and preparation of printed materials for distribution, ensuring smooth mailroom operations and fostering a team-oriented environment. This is a full-time position, Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM. During later weeks of January, there will be opportunities for additional work hours and up to 12-hour workdays if desired.

    Responsibilities

    + Stack bundled mail on pallets.

    + Operate electric floor jack to move skids.

    + Feed strapping, plastic wrap, and bottom wrap machines.

    + Assist in staging mailroom equipment prior to production runs.

    + Load various feed stations; occasional hand feeding required.

    + Palletize products as they come off machines.

    + Perform housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe work environment.

    + Comply with OSHA regulations, lockout/tagout procedures, and all company safety policies.

    + Perform other duties as assigned by the Mailroom Supervisor.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + No prior experience or training required.

    + Basic mechanical skills and computer knowledge preferred, but not required.

    + Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.

    + Ability to communicate effectively in one-on-one settings with other employees.

     

    Work Environment

     

    The role requires regular physical activities including sitting, standing, walking, talking, hearing, using hands and fingers, reaching with arms, climbing, balancing, and stooping. Candidates must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to focus. The work environment involves frequent exposure to vibration, fumes, airborne particles, and risk of electrical shock, as well as moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is typically moderate.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
