    Job Description

    As a Reach Truck Operator, you will be responsible for operating reach trucks to efficiently perform putaways and pick items within a cold storage facility. The facility maintains a temperature of 30 degrees, where you will operate a Standup Reach Truck Forklift, handle order picking, perform putaways, and utilize RF scanners. Responsibilities also include breaking down pallets, moving skids, printing orders, and using a computer system to complete and build orders. You will occasionally need to dismount the forklift for tasks such as staging, wrapping, and picking.

    Responsibilities

    + Operate reach trucks to perform putaways and pick items.

    + Handle order picking and perform putaways.

    + Utilize RF scanners for inventory management.

    + Break down pallets and move skids.

    + Print orders and use computer systems for order completion.

    + Dismount forklift for staging, wrapping, and picking tasks.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience with forklift and reach truck operation.

    + Ability to work in a cold storage environment with temperatures at 30 degrees.

    + Experience in performing putaways and picking orders.

    + Proficiency in loading and unloading trucks.

    + Capability to build and complete orders using computer systems.

    + 1-2 years of relevant experience.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Bilingual skills are a plus.

    + Experience with stand-up lift and warehouse shipping.

    + Knowledge of shipping and receiving processes.

    Work Environment

     

    Work in a cold storage warehouse with inventory bays for storing items, maintained at a temperature of 30 degrees. The company provides necessary cold-weather gear, including jackets, gloves, bibs, and suits. Employees can also wear their own hoodies, jackets, and hats. The facility operates across three shifts: 1st shift from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, 2nd shift from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, and 3rd shift.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lyons, IL.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
