Job Title: Welder
Job Description
As a welder, you will utilize your skills in SMAW (Stick), GMAW (MIG), Flux Core, and GMAW-P processes, performing multi-pass welding in 3G and 4G positions. You will complete stainless steel, Cupro-Nickel, and carbon steel pipe welds in the 6G position, using fabrication equipment such as torches, grinders, levels, and tapes on a daily basis.
Responsibilities
+ Perform welding using SMAW, GMAW, Flux Core, and GMAW-P processes in 3G and 4G positions.
+ Utilize fabrication equipment including torch, torch hoses, grinder, levels, and tapes.
+ Perform structural welding on ship components such as hulls, decks, bulkheads, frames, and foundations.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in MIG welding, blueprint reading, and fabrication.
+ Experience in SMAW, Flux Core, and stick welding.
+ Ability to work in various positions, including overhead, vertical, and flat welding.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience working in tight or elevated spaces.
+ Capability to perform tasks aloft on scaffolds or manlifts and in confined spaces.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Franklin, LA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
