    Job Title: Food Processing Machine Operator

     

    Shift: 4am-4pm

    Job Description

    We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Food Processing Machine Operator to join our team. This role involves the physical handling and loading of raw materials into processing machines, ensuring that products meet quality standards and are produced according to specified formulas.

    Responsibilities

    + Physically load raw materials such as spices, sugars, and seasonings into machines.

    + Maintain accurate logs, both paper and electronic, of materials fed into the machine.

    + Operate machines to ensure products are processed for the correct duration.

    + Perform quality checks on products as they are produced and transferred into containers.

    + Mix finished products while maintaining the highest quality standards.

    + Prepare products according to established formulas and monitor production needs.

    + Set up equipment for daily production schedules and operate machinery to aid in processing formulas.

    + Use local control panels to manage the addition of ingredients, both metered and manually added, to mix and transfer batches.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience in food manufacturing and food processing.

    + Proficiency in operating processing machines.

    + Knowledge of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points).

    + Strong quality control skills.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + High School Diploma or GED is preferred.

    + Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and standard operating procedures.

    + Mathematical skills to verify quantities of ingredients.

    Work Environment

     

    The work environment is fast-paced and involves working closely with a team. You will be working around machines in a processing facility where conditions can be wet at times due to sanitation processes. Hearing protection is necessary due to the constant operation of machinery, which creates a dull hum in the processing bay.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chambersburg, PA.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $19.41 - $19.41/hr.
