    Job Description

    Join a dynamic team as a General Production Worker on a contract-to-hire basis. You will be an integral part of a glass manufacturing operation, where you will be cross-trained in various areas of the production floor. This role offers a unique opportunity to work with advanced machinery and be part of a dedicated team.

    Responsibilities

    + Operate the fully automated polishing machine, ensuring smooth operation.

    + Lift glass ranging from 25-150 pounds, utilizing suction cup arms or team assistance for heavier pieces.

    + Engage in repetitive tasks while being on your feet for 8-hour shifts.

    + Cross-train in the tempering, cutting, and cleaning areas.

    + Remove tape from laminated glass, measure accurately to 1/16th inch, and apply labels.

    + Assist with truck loading during downtime as required.

    Essential Skills

    + General labor and production experience.

    + Experience with hand tools and packaging.

    + Ability to operate in a manufacturing environment.

    + Capability to lift 25-100 pounds as needed.

    + Previous manufacturing experience is essential.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Ability to remain on feet throughout the entire shift.

    + Experience with tape measures, measuring accurately to 1/16th inch.

    Work Environment

     

    Work in a non-temperature controlled environment with approximately 15 people on the floor. The tempering machine emits heat, reaching up to 1,600 degrees. Enjoy flexibility with no strict dress code; wear shorts, but ensure closed-toe shoes are worn. Shifts run Monday to Friday from 7 AM to 4 PM, with a break from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM. Optional overtime is available on Saturdays from 5 AM to 9 AM.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of York, PA.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
