    Job Title: Grinder Operator** **Job Description

     

    Join our fabrication department where you will take newly welded parts and use a handheld grinding tool to smooth out metal work. This role is perfect for those looking to work hard and earn competitive pay. No experience is required, and we provide full training.

    Responsibilities

    + Remove all weld spatter.

    + Smooth metals to ensure paint adhesion.

    + Operate a handheld grinder.

    + Move materials as necessary.

    + Wear protective equipment to safeguard against sparks.

    Essential Skills

    + Mechanical skills.

    + Experience with mechanical assembly, grinder, grinding, and finishing.

    + Knowledge of metal fabrication and finishing.

    + Ability to work with hand and power tools.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + 6 months of fabrication experience preferred.

    + Ability to operate small electric grinding tools.

    + Strong communication skills.

    + Mechanically inclined with a good work history.

    + No more than 3 jobs in the last 18 months.

    Work Environment

    Work in a comfortable metal fabrication area that remains warm in summer but is manageable. On hotter days, we mandate hydration breaks. The grinding team consists of 4-6 people, emphasizing teamwork while allowing for independent work.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Anoka, MN.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
