Job Title: Assembler
Job Description
We are looking for a skilled Assembler to join our team and engage in custom sheet metal assembly projects. This role involves utilizing hand and power tools, as well as electro-mechanical and test equipment, to assemble, wire, and test products according to sheet metal prints and electrical schematics. You will be responsible for routing, connecting, fastening, and securing wires accurately as per diagrams or work instructions. The ideal candidate will have the ability to read blueprints, wiring schematics, and work instructions, working from job tickets, manuals, or digital instructions to ensure custom dimensions and quality standards are met.
Responsibilities
+ Utilize hand and power tools for custom sheet metal assembly projects.
+ Use electro-mechanical and test equipment to assemble, wire, and test products.
+ Assemble components, make wiring connections, and test using provided tools.
+ Accurately route, connect, fasten, and secure wires as per diagrams or instructions.
+ Read blueprints, wiring schematics, and work instructions to guide assembly.
+ Work from job tickets, manuals, or digital instructions.
+ Use inspection equipment to ensure custom dimensions and quality are met.
Essential Skills
+ 1+ year of mechanical assembly experience.
+ Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and perform wiring.
+ Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ 1+ year of electrical assembly experience preferred.
+ High School education or GED equivalent is required.
+ Familiarity with inspection processes and systems controls.
+ Setup experience specific to department or equipment.
+ Appropriate communication skills (Read, Write, Speak, Listen).
+ Process and detail orientation with the ability to document best practices.

Work Environment
This position operates on a weekend shift from 5am to 5:30pm, Friday through Sunday, with training conducted during flexible daytime hours. They also have a 2nd shift opening 3:30pm to 2:15am, Monday - Thursday. The work takes place in a sheet metal fabrication and assembly environment, characterized by a moderate noise level. Employees are required to wear steel-toed shoes and pants.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bloomington, MN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
