2nd Shift CNC Machinist

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated 2nd Shift CNC Machinist to join a prominent valve manufacturing company in Costa Mesa, CA. This role involves working from either a 1:30pm or 2:30pm start time for 9-hour shifts with opportunities for overtime on Saturdays. We welcome entry-level candidates who are eager to learn and grow.

Responsibilities

+ Set up, operate, and adjust program/offsets on CNC multi-task horizontal machining center according to engineering specifications, production drawings, production procedures, and verbal instructions.

+ Check work in process for adherence to quality and production standards.

+ Change settings for various production runs.

+ Obtain and return work supplies from tool crib as needed.

+ Maintain a clean and safe work area and equipment operating conditions.

+ Use hand tools as required.

+ Complete accurate production/work records.

+ May deburr parts in completing production work.

+ Operate jib crane and bridge crane to load and unload parts.

+ Familiarize yourself with hitching and rigging equipment and their use.

Essential Skills

+ 1-3 years of recent experience or training in machining, ideally setting up, operating, and adjusting CNC multi-task vertical machining centers in a production environment.

+ Considerable knowledge of methods and techniques for operating CNC multi-task vertical machining center and related hand tools and equipment.

+ Knowledge of safe equipment operating procedures and work practices.

+ Ability to operate and adjust equipment control settings.

+ Ability to check machined parts for conformity with work specifications and quality standards.

+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Knowledge of proper fluid levels and coolant recovery.

+ Experience with CNC (Mill or Lathe) operations is advantageous.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $83200.00/yr.
