Job Title: Machine Operator (3rd Shift)** **Job Description
Join a leading forge and fabricator of aerospace products as a Machine Operator on the 3rd shift. You will be responsible for operating various machines to press and form thicker metal, which will be utilized in constructing airplane frames.
Responsibilities
+ Operate machines such as band saws, press machines, bump machines, stretch machines, and others to form metal.
+ Measure parts accurately using a tape measure.
+ Maintain a clean and organized work area.
+ Provide assistance in other areas as needed.
Essential Skills
+ 5+ years of machine operating experience in a manufacturing environment.
+ Experience in the metal manufacturing or forging industry.
+ Proficiency in operating JibCrane or Overhead Crane.
+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints and use a tape measure.
+ Experience with CNC machines, stretch operators, forge operators, press machines, press brakes, plasma machines, and saw operation.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience as a furnace operator.
+ Extensive measuring expertise.
+ Proficiency in CNC operations.
+ Strong mathematical skills.

Work Environment
The work environment is a manufacturing setting that is non-climate controlled, which means it can get hot during the summer months. Despite the older exterior, the shop is extremely organized and clean, with everything clearly labeled. Employees are required to wear steel-toed boots, jeans, work shirts, and appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). The night shift operates from Sunday 9:00pm - 5:30am and Monday-Wednesday 5:00pm-5:30am, with Thursday shifts as needed. Training is conducted during the day for 30-90 days before transitioning to the night shift.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of HOUSTON, TX.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
