    Job Description

    Join a dynamic car auction company that specializes in processing wrecked vehicles. As a General Laborer, you will play a vital role in preparing these vehicles for dispatch to third-party customers. This full-time position requires outdoor work, where you'll contribute to various stages of the vehicle processing cycle.

    Responsibilities

    + Open doors, hoods, and trunks, using hand tools if necessary.

    + Remove license plates from vehicles.

    + Utilize a jump box to power the odometer.

    + Start vehicles, if possible, to test functionality.

    + Clean out trash and separate personal belongings, following specific instructions.

    + Use a shop vacuum to clean the car, if required.

    + Test window and door seals when necessary.

    + Take detailed pictures and provide information about the vehicle.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience with automotive tools and general labor tasks.

    + Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

    + Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

    Work Environment

     

    The position requires working outdoors year-round, in all weather conditions. The shift runs from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with breaks and a lunch hour. Weekly safety meetings are held every Thursday at 7:30 am. Employees must provide their own weather-appropriate clothing, including rain gear and cold-weather attire. Safety glasses and gloves are provided, and once full-time, uniforms and light weather coats are included. The dress code mandates wearing leather work boots, long pants, and a reflective vest.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of YORK HAVEN, PA.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
