    Job Title: Maintenance Technician** **Job Description

     

    The maintenance technician will be responsible for performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment used in steel plate and steel coil manufacturing. This includes maintaining plasma tables and steel coil lines, as well as occasional maintenance on forklifts. Approximately 75% of the role will involve working in the production area to carry out preventive maintenance and address equipment breakdowns.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform general maintenance on plant equipment, including lubrication, monitoring, repairing, preventive maintenance, and inspections.

    + Complete work orders and identify potential equipment problems to initiate improvement projects.

    + Communicate with operators to ensure a constant and smooth flow of operations, while addressing any equipment concerns.

    Work Environment

    This role operates on the 2nd shift (Monday to Friday, 2PM-10:30PM), with initial training on the 1st shift for the first 30-90 days, depending on skillset. The work environment is an industrial, large warehouse originally built to construct warships. While the position is indoors, temperatures can be extreme due to frequent door openings; it's hot in summer and cold in winter. Additionally, technicians will be "on-call" roughly once per month.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Roseville, MN.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $36.00/hr.
