    CNC Tool Grinder Technician

    Job Description

    Join our team as a CNC Tool Grinder Technician where you will be responsible for producing premium quality, high precision, carbide cutting tools using the Wickman Optical Profile Grinder. This role offers day shifts with potential flexibility in start times based on skill level and workload.

    Responsibilities

    + Setup and operate machines to produce tools per product specifications.

    + Ensure product accuracy and uniformity throughout the manufacturing process, creating consistent parts.

    + Read technical drawings and blueprints to develop custom programs for specialty tooling.

    + Provide general preventative maintenance to all machines.

    + Identify wheel wear on all wheel types.

    + Create master programs for all standard and modified standard endmills.

    + Set-up, inspect, produce a good first piece, and run production on drills, inserts, broaches, form tools, step tools, keyway cutters, dovetail cutters, and reamers.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in manual machining, tool and die, and tool sharpening.

    + Experience with tool grinders and calipers.

    + Ability to read blueprints and use micrometers.

    + CNC grinding experience with Wickman Optical Profile Grinder.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + 6+ months of industry-related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education or experience.

    + Certification from a qualified training institution in tool and cutter grinding is ideal but not required.

    + Vocational school or apprenticeship preferred but not required.

    + Experience in operating and programming machines is preferred.

    + Experience with Wickman Optical Profile Grinding machines is preferred.

    + Previous manufacturing and CNC setup/operator experience is preferred but not required.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of ANAHEIM, CA.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
