    Specimen Accessioner About the Role

     

    As a Specimen Accessioner, you play a vital role at the very start of the laboratory testing process. This position is all about precision, consistency, and keeping the workflow moving at a strong, steady pace. You’ll be responsible for receiving, identifying, and preparing patient samples so that our laboratory teams can deliver accurate, timely testing for diagnosis and treatment.

    What You’ll Do

    + Receive, sort, and triage incoming clinical specimens for testing.

    + Accurately enter and manage patient and specimen data within the LIMS system.

    + Perform quality checks and internal chart audits to ensure accuracy.

    + Collaborate with laboratory staff and other departments to maintain smooth operations and uphold testing standards.

    + Maintain a clean, organized workspace while following all safety and compliance procedures.

    What We’re Looking For

    + A High School Diploma or GED.

    + No prior lab experience required—just a strong work ethic and willingness to learn.

    + Proven reliability and consistency in past work or school environments.

    + Comfort working in a fast‑paced, production‑style setting.

    + Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.

    + Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

    + Strong data entry and organizational skills are a plus.

    Full‑Time

     

    Monday - Friday, 2:00pm - 10:00pm

    This is a Contract position based out of Weslaco, TX.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $18.12 - $18.12/hr.
