Job Title: Laboratory Assistant
Job Description
Join our team as a Laboratory Assistant, where you will work closely with our Chemist to sample and test food products, report data, and maintain meticulous records of raw materials and tests performed.
Responsibilities
+ Conduct sampling and testing of food products.
+ Report data accurately and maintain documentation of raw materials and tests.
+ Perform manual and automatic titrations and operate laboratory equipment including HPLC, pH meters, and spectrophotometers.
+ Accurately weigh chemicals and samples for testing.
+ Maintain laboratory records and inventory.
+ Conduct pre-operation inspections on the production floor.
+ Perform visual inspections and metal detector checks.
+ Ensure sifter screens are clean and functioning properly.
Essential Skills
+ Must have Associates in Science or Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related science field.
+ Experience with HPLC, pH, viscosity, and titrations.
+ Proficiency in chemical testing and maintaining lab records.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience in food-related roles such as server, cook, or baker.
+ Knowledge of blending, mixing, salt, and enzyme processes.
Work Environment
You will work in a collaborative laboratory environment where the pace varies day by day. Team members help each other complete testing in a supportive atmosphere. The dress code includes jeans, closed-toed shoes, and a t-shirt. The standard shift is from 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with occasional early or late hours and some Saturdays depending on workload.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dallas, TX 75247.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
