Job Title: Quality Electrical Inspector
Job Description
Under limited supervision, this position is responsible for inspecting a wide variety of parts, assemblies, tooling fixtures, and material to ensure compliance with customer requirements, company specifications, and quality requirements. The role involves maintaining, processing, and compiling a variety of confidential and sensitive electronic and hard copy reports, records, and statistics. Assignments are typically non-routine, requiring judgment and assessment to resolve moderately complex issues. Inspections may be conducted at customer or vendor sites.
Responsibilities
+ Inspect parts, components, assemblies, and materials to ensure compliance with appropriate regulatory guidelines (Military Standards, ASTM and ANSI Codes).
+ Provide various electronic and hard copy reports of inspections and notify appropriate parties, including project engineers.
+ Observe testing and provide oversight as necessary to verify compliance with requirements.
+ Use hand gauges and other automated gaging tools.
+ Utilize SAP systems daily to support Quality Department inspection activities.
+ Complete First Article Inspection Reports in accordance with SAE AS9102 requirements.
+ Interact with and provide responses to regulatory agencies and customers during audits and reviews of company inspection activities.
+ Monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.
+ Observe all laws, regulations, and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the company.
+ Work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.
+ Perform other duties as assigned or required.
Essential Skills
+ 5+ years of hands-on inspection experience.
+ Proficiency in electrical inspection, IPC 610, IPC 620, and J-STD standards.
+ Strong computer skills, including the use of SAP.
+ Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and specifications.
+ Good communication skills for effective interfacing with all levels of employees.
+ Ability to interpret complex information and respond to a variety of complex issues.
+ Proficient in IPC/WHMA-A-620 and IPC-A-610; IPC J-STD-001 is desirable.
+ Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Typically requires an associate's degree, trade school certificate, military training, or equivalent in quality inspections or certification by a professional group such as ASQ or AWS.
+ Three or more years of progressive experience in electrical, mechanical, electromechanical inspection.
+ Experience with ISO 9001, AS9100, DOD quality assurance program requirements are desirable.
+ Ability to adapt to various working conditions such as heights, high voltage electricity, or radioactive materials.
Work Environment
The position is onsite in Tupelo, MS, with a work schedule of four 10-hour days MON-THURS. The environment may require adaptation to various conditions such as heights, high voltage electricity, or radioactive materials.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $45.00/hr.
