    Job Title: Quality TechnicianJob Description

     

    As a Quality Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring product quality throughout the design and assembly operations. You will provide leadership in failure analysis and corrective actions to prevent defects in manufacturing and assembly operations. You will serve as a quality representative, offering input on the manufacturability and serviceability of designs using failure and defect reports.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform failure and defect analysis in collaboration with Engineering and Manufacturing to determine appropriate corrective actions for quality issues.

    + Conduct in-process audits to identify production problems before products are submitted for final inspection.

    + Conduct quality planning for incoming materials, manufactured components, assemblies, and finished products.

    + Assist in establishing effective inspection sampling plans and quality audits to ensure cost-effective compliance with customer expectations and specifications.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in root cause analysis.

    + Experience in conducting quality checks and inspections.

    + Familiarity with quality engineering principles.

    + Knowledge of PPAP (Production Part Approval Process).

    + Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Quality Technician role.

    + Minimum of 2 years of experience in quality audits and quality checks.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + AAS Degree in Engineering or General Studies.

    + Experience with SCAR (Supplier Corrective Action Request).

    + Familiarity with CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Action).

    + Understanding of CpK (Process Capability Index).

    + Experience with control plans and non-conformance handling.

    + Proficiency in conducting audits and quality inspections.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Minneapolis, MN.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
